CRS Racing today announced three of the drivers that will race the all-new red, white and blue CRS cars in the 2010 Formula Renault UK Championship. Harry Tincknell and Michael Lyons will be joined by karting star, Robert Foster-Jones. The fourth seat at CRS is still open as discussions continue with potential drivers. 2009 Formula Renault Graduate Cup and Winter Series Champion, Harry Tincknell, is returning to the series in 2010 as he has a title to fight for. The 18 year-old put in some outstanding performances last year and is now ready to step up and challenge for the overall championship win. “I'm really happy to have been able to re-sign with CRS for 2010 and I think I can build on a fantastic first season and go for the overall title,” said Harry. “I had an excellent first year with the team with some great results. I've built up a good relationship with my engineer and my mechanic, so we should have a good year. There’s no such thing as an easy championship in Formula Renault though and 2010 will be no different. For sure the guys behind me will improve and there will be quick rookies coming into the series. I am working really hard in the gym getting as fit as possible at the moment and preparing for our pre-season testing programme in the new car. It should be an exciting year!” CRS is pleased to have signed another second year driver in Michael Lyons. ‘Mick’ drove the satellite CRS car in last year’s Formula Renault UK Championship but will join the main team for 2010 as he continues his single-seater career. |
