EUAN HANKEY TO COMPLETE SEASON FOR CRS |
|
After making a strong Formula Renault debut at Silverstone recently, Euan Hankey will complete the season in the No.4 CRS Racing Formula Renault car. The 22-year-old received the Driver of the Day Award for his performance in the second of the two races at Silverstone where he took fourth place.
Regular driver of the No.4 car, Matias Laine, continues to make a rapid recovery from his accident at Snetterton. The popular Finn has been cleared to get back behind the wheel of a racing car in a month’s time but this means he will have to sit out the final two events at Rockingham and Brands Hatch.
“It’s a shame for Matias that he has to sit out the last few races as I know how frustrating that can be,” said CRS Team Director, Andrew Kirkaldy. “He’s doing well though and using his time to concentrate on physical training. Euan did a great job for us in Matias’ absence so I’m pleased that we can keep him for the remaining races. He fits in well with the team and has provided the other drivers with some stiff competition right away.”
